I am an Assistant Professor of Computer Science in the Information Systems Technology and Design pillar at SUTD, Singapore, where I lead the Computational Design Lab.
My research interests lie in geometric computing, physical AI, and computational design.
My research explores how computational methods and AI can enable the generation, optimization, and physical realization of geometric designs for addressing diverse real-world needs.
In particular, I am interested in developing AI-powered design systems that translate human needs into functional designs via reasoning about digital geometry, physical constraints, and functionality.
My reseach group has developed and released open-source computational tools for designing various functional artifacts.
Through these tools, we aim to make advanced computational design technologies accessible to broader communities and enable the creation of physical artifacts that improve people's well-being, capabilities, and satisfaction.
